Monday Stock Trading Tips, 16 July 2012


The 30-share BSE Sensex is trading currently at 17,197.27 down by 16.43 points(-0.10%) whereas The NSE Nifty index inched up 10 points to 5236 in early trade and is now trading at 5221.40 down by -5.85 points(-0.11%). High inflation does not allow Reserve Bank of India to cut interest rates and stimulate economic growth.

The Rupee strengthened more than a week today monday Morning, it gains 37 paise in early trade. It was at 54.89/90 to a dollar.

The Top Gainers in BSE Sensex to look forward today are:
  1. Dr. Reddy's laborataries Ltd.
  2. Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.
  3. Coal India Ltd
  4. Tata Motors Ltd.
  5. Sun Pharmaceuticals Inds ltd.
The Top Gainers in NSE Nifty are:

  1. ITC Ltd.
  2. Bharat Petroleum Corprn Ltd.
  3. Cipla Ltd.

Sensex Nifty High, Rupee Weakens- 4 July 2012


The 30 share, BSE benchmark, Sensex opened Green today, Wednesday, 4 July 2012. On Tuesday it gained, 26.73 points and closed at 17,425. In the 30-share Sensex pack, 16 stocks gained. The top gainer iss Bharti Airtel which is up by by 3.11 percent.

The 50 share NSE benchmark, NIFTY, also opened positive by 0.3 percent at 5,304.80. On Tuesday it closed at 5,288. The HOT stocks to watch today, and the tops gainers of today are: ITC, ICICI Bank, and HDFC Bank.



Currency Updates:
Rupee Updates for Today
The rupee today weadnesday, 4 July 2012 opened at 54.35 to the dollar. On Tuesday the Rupee turned to be Asia's best performing currency on 5 day basis, bullish on the Indian unit with calls coming in for rupee to further gain up to 54-52 levels. It closed at 54.36/37 on Tuesday. On Monday 2 July, the rupee strengthened for the third straight session.

  1. 'Buy'  Hindustan Zinc with a stoploss of Rs 121 for a target of Rs 135.
  2. 'Buy'  Biocon with a stoploss of Rs 237 with a target of Rs 252.
  3. 'Buy'  Voltas with a stoploss of Rs 108 for a target of Rs 123.
  4. Apollo Tyres Ltd is a ‘SELL’ call with a target of Rs 75 and a stop loss of Rs 78.50.

Sensex, Nifty opens higher, Rupee Rebounds



Indian benchmark indices, the Sensex and the Nifty, opened the session on Monday on a positive note.

At 9:45 a.m., the 30-share BSE index Sensex was up 109.62 points at 17,082.13 and the 50-share NSE index Nifty was up 35.15 points at 5181.20. The Nifty in it's last session ended at 5,146.05, down 18.95 points, or 0.37 percent. Whereas the Sensex in it's last session closed at 16,972.51, down 60.05 points or 0.35 percent and depreciating rupee weighed on sentiment.
The Indian currency fell to all time record low of 57.32 per dollar in trade, making it the worst-performing currency in Asia. Today Rupee rose 1% against the dollar at 56.59.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed 67.21 points higher at 12,640.78, the Standard & Poor's 500 index rose 9.51 points to 1,335.02 and the Nasdaq composite index climbed 33.33 points to 2,892.42.

Asian markets were subdued on eurozone concerns. The Nikkei 225 was down by 0.05 percent, the Shanghai Composite fell 0.55 percent and the Kospi was 1.58 percent lower.
