Sensex Nifty High, Rupee Weakens- 4 July 2012

The 30 share, BSE benchmark, Sensex opened Green today, Wednesday, 4 July 2012. On Tuesday it gained, 26.73 points and closed at 17,425. In the 30-share Sensex pack, 16 stocks gained. The top gainer iss Bharti Airtel which is up by by 3.11 percent.

The 50 share NSE benchmark, NIFTY, also opened positive by 0.3 percent at 5,304.80. On Tuesday it closed at 5,288. The HOT stocks to watch today, and the tops gainers of today are: ITC, ICICI Bank, and HDFC Bank.

Rupee Updates for Today

The rupee today weadnesday, 4 July 2012 opened at 54.35 to the dollar. On Tuesday the Rupee turned to be Asia's best performing currency on 5 day basis, bullish on the Indian unit with calls coming in for rupee to further gain up to 54-52 levels. It closed at 54.36/37 on Tuesday. On Monday 2 July, the rupee strengthened for the third straight session.

2. 'Buy'  Biocon with a stoploss of Rs 237 with a target of Rs 252.
