The Sensex crashed 317.39 points to close at 19,325.36 whereas The Nifty closed at 5,845.80, down 97 points or 1.64 per cent, its biggest percentage drop since July 26. The BSE Midcap Index was down 1.65 per cent and the BSE Smallcap Index closed 1.79 per cent. 

Maruti Suzuki (2.48 per cent), Hindalco Industries (3.54 per cent), Jindal Steel (4.19 per cent), Tata Steel (4.18 per cent) and ICICI Bank(3.77 per cent) were among top Sensex losers.Bharti Airtel (0.25 per cent), GAIL (0.15 per cent) and Bajaj Auto (0.30 per cent) were the only index gainers.

The BSE index gained up over 1 per cent or 200 points in early trade on Thursday to cross its key psychological level of 19,000 for the first time since October 5.

The 30-share index was up by 204.70 points at 19,046.78 or 1.08 per cent. The BSE index touched a high of 19,049.4 and an intraday low of 18,873.63 in early trade.
Whereas the Nifty was up by 56.95 points at 5,784.40, or 1.01 per cent. It touched an intraday high of 5,786.35 and an intraday low of 5,736.10 in early trade today.

1. Kotak Bank: BUY with target of Rs 675 and a stop loss of Rs 624.

2. Adani Power Ltd: BUY call with a target of Rs 54 and a stop loss of Rs 48.

3. Bajaj Auto Ltd: BUY call with a target of Rs 1920 and a stop loss of Rs 1835.

Sensex opens 60 points Up on Thursday

Thursday morning, is positive for BSE Sensex. Sensex gained 60 points in early trade today. The Sensex is up by 61.27 points at 18,521.65 and the 50-share NSE Nifty is also up by 14.75 points at 5,629.55.

Afternoon Stock Highlights: 
The BSE Sensex went 33 points up, and is trading at 18,746.65 and the 50-share NSE Nifty was up 12 points at 5,699. The Indian rupee rose by 21 paise to 52.80 against the US dollar.

Shares of Reliance Industries, Mahindra & Mahindra, Cipla, Dr Reddy's Labs, BHEL and Hindalco were down by 0.2-0.7 percent.

Top Telecom operator Bharti Airtel topped the buying list with 2.2 percent gains. Country's largest software services exporters TCS and Infosys gained 0.5 percent each.
