Stock Market Info

The Sensex crashed 317.39 points to close at 19,325.36 whereas The Nifty closed at 5,845.80, down 97 points or 1.64 per cent, its biggest percentage drop since July 26. The BSE Midcap Index was down 1.65 per cent and the BSE Smallcap Index closed 1.79 per cent. 

Maruti Suzuki (2.48 per cent), Hindalco Industries (3.54 per cent), Jindal Steel (4.19 per cent), Tata Steel (4.18 per cent) and ICICI Bank(3.77 per cent) were among top Sensex losers.Bharti Airtel (0.25 per cent), GAIL (0.15 per cent) and Bajaj Auto (0.30 per cent) were the only index gainers.
